RockPro vs Tally vs Excel for crushers, yards and fleets
Tally is general-purpose accounting software and Excel is a flexible spreadsheet. RockPro is built for crusher, yard and fleet operations with the accounts included, so weighbridge tickets, production, lorry-box measurements and trips post to the ledger automatically.

When Tally is enough
If you mainly need books of account, GST and statutory reports, and your plant, yard and vehicle records are kept elsewhere, Tally does that job well and your accountant probably knows it already.
When Excel is enough
For one vehicle or a small yard with a handful of loads a day, a well-kept spreadsheet can work. It becomes hard to trust as entries grow: formulas break, several people edit copies, and nothing links a load to the customer's account or the stock.
When RockPro fits
RockPro fits when daily operations drive the accounts: weighbridge tickets, shift production, yard inward by lorry box, trips and diesel. Each entry is made once, by the person who does the work, and stock, customer balances, GST invoices and the profit of every plant, yard and vehicle follow from it. Reports export to Excel, PDF and CSV, and you can export all your data at any time.
Frequently asked questions
Is RockPro a replacement for Tally?
RockPro includes double-entry accounts, GST invoices and the main financial statements, so a crusher, yard or fleet business can run on it alone. Others keep their statutory books in Tally and use RockPro for operations and profit tracking.
Can I move from Excel to RockPro?
Yes. Start a free trial, enter your masters (customers, suppliers, materials, vehicles) and opening balances, and begin entering daily work; reports are available from the first day.
